Intel’s Demise from glory 💻 📉

There was a time where I remember virtually every computer had an Intel microprocessor. However, Intel’s market share has recently declined significantly, dropping from an estimated ,$80 billion to $53 billion. Intel’s fall from grace attributed to several factors:
1. Intel was slow to recognise the growing importance of mobile and ARM-based chips.
2. The rise of fabless semiconductor companies which have been able to innovate more quickly and efficiently.
3. Significant leadership changes at Intel have also impacted the company’s strategic direction and agility.

Ultimately the competition caught up while Intel stood still.
That said, it’s important to note that Intel continues to produce excellent microchips and remains a major player in the industry.
